QUESTIONS:
First Spot: San Bernardino Road
Look east down San Bernardino Road. How many uses can you see on both sides of the street? How is the north side different from the south side? Take a picture of the south side of the street, looking east.
Second Spot: The Vacant Field
Stand on San Bernardino Road. Is it a quiet place? What does the space feel like compared to what is around it? What is the most interesting feature of the field? What do you think could develop there? Take a panorama picture of the field.
Third Spot: Klusman Avenue
Stand at the corner and look south. Is it a busy street? What is the most interesting building? What is the oldest building? What activities are in the buildings? Take a picture of both corners.
Fourth Spot: Archibald Avenue
Stand at the corner of Estacia. Compare what Archibald looks like today with what it looked like in the 1920s (see photo in Part 5). What do you hear? Does anything look like it doesn't belong in neighborhood? Take a picture.
Fifth Spot: Foothill Boulevard
Stop in front of the group of bungalows. Look both ways up and down Foothill Boulevard. What do you see when you look west? How about when you look east? Take some pictures.
Sixth Spot: Helms Avenue
How is this part of Foothill Boulevard different from the rest? What activities are in the buildings? Do the buildings look like they were originally built as stores and repair shops? How is the character of the north side of Foothill Boulevard different from the south side? Take a picture.
Seventh Spot: Hellman Avenue
Does the west side look the same as the east side? Is it a quiet or a noisy street? Take a picture.
