Is your classroom ready for a fun challenge?
We're looking for classes, grades 4 thru 12, to participate in a special half-day activity. Four times a year the Planning Division conducts a special presentation of The Kids Neighborhood Workshop for students from local schools. In 1999 we were honored to have a 4/5 grade class from Windrows Elementary, a 4th grade class from Los Amigos Elementary, and Kindergarten and 1st grade classes from Cross & Crown Childrens Center (see photos). The presentation is limited to one class per quarter and lasts approximately 3 hours.
We will provide everything needed for the special half-day activity, including paper, pens. You provide the room, and we'll do the rest! Students will work together in teams of no more than 6 students each. We provide enough professional planners to work with each group. Each student will receive a Certificate of Participation.
